The Story

SIRENFALL: a free browser scene, a shelter overlooking a rainy city. Pull the breaker to power a civil-defense siren synthesized live in Web Audio.

SIRENFALL is a free browser scene: a shelter overlooking a rainy city. Pull the breaker lever to power a civil-defense siren, synthesized live in your browser with Web Audio, not played from a recording. The siren is two tones a minor third apart, 515 Hz and 618 Hz, generated in real time, with a horn that sweeps once every 15 seconds.

Rain and thunder carry on in the scene, with a shutter and a CRT monitor as additional controls. No signup, no install, works in any modern browser.

How it works : the siren physics, the numbers, and answers to common questions. Double-click the window or press F for fullscreen; click the wall monitor or press S to save a picture.
