What this site is
CompassPad is a place to find software that launched recently. Every listing has a public page with the product name, a short description, its category, its pricing model, and a link to the live site.
The catalog is browsable by category, by tag, and through a full logo wall. The homepage feed is ordered by recency by default, and can be re-sorted by upvotes or by how much discussion a listing has attracted.
How listings get here
Anyone can submit a project. A submission needs a working public URL, an accurate description, and a category. A person reviews every submission before it appears in the catalog.
Free listings are approved once a small badge linking back to CompassPad is verified on the project site. Paid tiers skip that requirement and are approved immediately.
How ranking works
Upvotes come from visitors. One vote is counted per visitor per listing, and you can remove your vote at any time. The Popularity sort orders the feed by vote count; the Most Discussed sort orders it by comment count.
Paid placement is always labeled. A paid listing can appear in the featured carousel and can be styled as a premium card, but payment never changes a vote count and never changes where a listing sits inside a vote-ordered feed.
