What is CompassPad?
CompassPad is a discovery catalog of new startup projects, tools, and side projects. Every published entry records what the project does, the stack it was built with, and the date CompassPad last checked it.
Does a listing mean CompassPad endorses the project?
No. An entry is a description of a third-party project, not a recommendation. The catalog publishes no rating scores and makes no best claim without published criteria.
How does a project get listed?
Submit it through the submission form. An entry needs a working public project, an accurate description, and a reachable primary link. A person reviews every submission before it publishes.
Is listing free?
Yes. A free entry requires a normal HTML link back to an approved CompassPad URL. Paid tiers buy placement and speed, never a better verification result. See pricing for the tiers.
What does the reciprocal link requirement mean?
A free listing stays live while the project site carries a plain anchor to CompassPad in the page source, not only in a JavaScript-rendered layer, and not wrapped in nofollow. The link is checked automatically and on a schedule.
What happens when a project stops resolving?
The entry is flagged and re-checked. Two consecutive failures make it a retirement candidate, and a person confirms before anything changes. A retired entry moves to the graveyard with the date and the evidence rather than being deleted.
Does sponsorship change a check result?
No. Paid placement never changes a verification result and never changes position inside a vote-ordered feed. Outbound links on paid placements are followed.
How do I report an error?
Write to [email protected] with the entry URL and the evidence. Correction requests are checked against the same sources the page cites.
Can I remove an entry about my project?
Yes. Write to [email protected] from an address associated with the project and the entry will be removed or corrected.
